THE GROUNDS AT THE VILLAGE HALL

The Rec Committee are often asked if it is possible to donate a tree, perhaps in memory of an individual. Given the anticipated future growth of current trees in the Rec, in effect, the grounds are ‘full.’ In recent years we have installed 18 benches/seats at the Rec, all made of recycled plastic. They have all been donated by individuals, families, clubs or organisations. Together with other improvements, we hope you agree how good the Rec is now looking.

We have an opportunity to install two benches between the recently planted trees by the playground. They could be used by people watching youngsters play in the playground or watching activities on the field. They would be similar to those currently at the Rec.

The cost, including installation and vat is £675.00  A commemorative plaque can be added for an extra £130.00.

If anyone is interested in donating a bench or giving a donation

towards the project please  contact Mark Hutchison at Groundsmanager.CRC@outlook.comor 07973 553239. Thank you in anticipation for your support.

November 5th Fireworks

Chieveley puts on a traditional village bonfire and fireworks each year on 5th November. In 2018, we celebrated our 50th Anniversary. This is a major fund-raiser for the village Hall.

Each year around 70 villagers and friends help to make this a high-quality, safe and entertaining event. If you would like to join in, we would welcome your help. Tickets will be available through www.mychieveley.co.uk from late October.
