Hall
Closure
No doubt when you read this you will have observed the cordoned area around the village hall and the start of our works over July and August whilst the hall is shut.
Our funds from the various grants are being put to excellent use with the replacement of the hall roof and the fitting of integrated PV solar panels. These in-roof panels will be installed on the west facing side and should look very smart, and will (hopefully) also avoid any problems from the remote possibility of errant cricket balls! We are confident that, through a mixture of our own use and feeding electricity back into the National Grid, we will see some significant impact on the running costs of the hall which, as I am sure you can appreciate from your own electricity bills, will be a welcome step forward as part of our Vision 2050 Project aims.
Other improvements to the hall are still intended however, these will fall into the next round of grant applications later in the year ready for actioning in 2026, and all proceeds from this year's Chieveley Firework Display will be donated to the Vision 2050 Project.

I hired the hall for a cat show in March 2025 and it met all our needs helping to make the event a real success. The team at Chieveley Village Hall were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and their support before, during and after the event truly was first class. I have booked again for another cat show in May and already booked twice for 2026..

We used Chieveley Village Hall for a family gathering (April 2025). It's a great facility - well-equipped and very easy to use. The booking was managed in a friendly and welcoming way, and the booking fee was very reasonable. We will definitely use the hall again!
